   Now you got me going–I just spent an hour researching it! Whenever we have song requests on the bus it’s always one of the first requests (usually the first), so I feel much better giving due credit for a song that’s been such a blessing to so many of us with its simple powerful lyrics that remind kids that they are always loved especially since most of the ones who request it come from very broken families. Here’s a reference that Jeff Steele wrote it. You can watch them sing it here, where he also claims authorship.
