It’s bubbling, it’s bubbling,
It’s bubbling in my soul.
There’s singing and laughing,
Since Jesus made me whole.
Folks can’t understand it,
How can I keep it quiet?
It bubbling, bubbling, bubbling,
Bubbling, bubbling day and night!
My 88-year-old mother writes for an Amish magazine. She was writing about the time she baked a pie and it was bubbling over in the oven and reminded her of this song. She was wondering how to get permission to use a few lines of it in her story. We don’t know the author or who holds the copyright? Can you help us?
I learned this song way back in the 50’s. When we sang it, it was a little different than your version, which is as follows: It’s bubbling. It’s bubbling. It’s bubbling in my soul. I’m singing and shouting since Jesus made me whole. Some people don’t understand it, but I can’t keep it quiet. It’s bubbling, bubbling, bubbling, bubbling, bubbling day and night.
It’s bubbling it’s bubbling
it’s bubbling in my soul
theres singing and shouting
since Jesus made me whole
some folks can understand
how can I keep it quiet
it’s b -u – b – b – l – i- n – g
bubbling in my soul
I learned this as a young child in the late 50’s or early 60’s. I was wanting to share it in my Ladies’ Bible study, and had a couple of words that I wanted to check out. Thanks for sharing it!
Since I came to Jesus, for heaven made a start
My cup is running over, there’s music in my heart
Chorus:
It’s bubbling, it’s bubbling
It’s bubbling in my soul
There’s singing and laughing
Since Jesus made me whole
Some folks don’t understand it
Why can’t I keep it quiet
It’s a bubbling, a bubbling, a bubbling, a bubbling
A bubbling in my soul
I knew some folks who had it, I saw their faces shine
But little did I ever think that the bubbling would be mine
Chorus
My heart became so hungry, my soul began to cry
Oh God I want that blessing or else I’ll surely die
Chorus
When I died out to people, and let go everything
A landslide came from heaven with the bubble-bubble-bubbling
These are some of the songs we've learned and compiled over the years while being involved in the Bus Ministry and other children's ministries at Old Time Baptist Church in Buffalo, NY.
A few lines here or there are our own original lyrics, but most of the content here is a compilation of songs written by other people. The chords you see when you click on a "Show chords" button are the same ones we use, and my differ somewhat from whatever the original authors intended.
If you have any requests for children's songs that are not included here, or if you'd like to request guitar chords or an audio sample for any song, please feel free to contact us by leaving a comment on any page.
