Jesus wants me for a sunbeam
To shine for Him each day;
In ev’ry way try to please Him,
At home, at school, at play.
A sunbeam, a sunbeam
Jesus wants me for a sunbeam,
A sunbeam, a sunbeam
I’ll be a sunbeam for Him.
Jesus wants me to be loving,
And kind to all I see
Showing how pleasant and happy
His little ones can be.
I will ask Jesus to help me
To keep my heart from sin;
Ever reflecting His goodness,
And always shine for Him.

    Thank for providing this service. Now I can take my mother’s advice of “singing old hymns or Sunday School songs in your head to help you fall asleep.”

    Where my love of Jesus began at Sunday School, when 4 years old, at 75 years , just looking back over a beautiful life of getting through in His Love, always with the same child like passion in belief and sharing. Thank you for the lyrics, I couldn’t get them all together in my mind. God Bless

    Thank you , I’ll be looking for more lyrics that the memory doesn’t produce in later years, but have a profound beginning to having a life with and for Jesus.

    A song that takes me back to Sunday School days.
    I would like to teach it to the children at a Kindergarten, where I have the privilege of going once a fortnight to share the good news about Jesus.
